9th National Forum on Science, Technology and Public Policy holds at NJU

The 9th National Forum on Science, Technology and Public Policy was held at Nanjing University Xianlin Campus from May 17 to 18. The forum centered on the theme of "Sci-tech Innovation and the Governance over Ethics in Science and Technology", with discussions on fields such as philosophy of science and technology, ethics, science and technology management, and public policy.

At the opening ceremony, Professor Zhang Liang, Dean of the School of Philosophy, extended a warm welcome to the attending experts and scholars. He highlighted NJU's recent achievements in academic research, disciplinary development, and talent cultivation. He also emphasized that sci-tech innovation and the governance over ethics in science and technology are major theoretical and practical issues of strategic significance in the process of Chinese modernization, calling for actively fulfilling the mission of philosophy and social sciences in the new era.

During the plenary sessions, faculty and students participants engaged in presentations and in-depth discussions on key topics. It was announced at the forum that the 10th National Forum on Science, Technology and Public Policy will be hosted by the School of Marxism at Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2026.
