Manuel Jobert leads delegation of Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 to NJU

On May 23, Ding Aijun, Assistant President of Nanjing University, met with Manuel Jobert, Vice President of International Affairs of the Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3, France, on Xianlin Campus. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on deepening academic cooperation and exchanges in the humanities and social sciences.

Ding Aijun welcomed Jobert's visit. He introduced NJU's history, campus distribution, academic strength and international development initiatives, highlighting the university's strong foundation in the humanities and social sciences and its strength in interdisciplinary research. He emphasized that NJU has always placed great importance on exchanges and cooperation with French universities, and looks forward to fostering practical collaboration in joint research and exchanges through platforms such as the "NJU International Fellowship Initiation", thereby further deepening mutually beneficial ties.

Jobert expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality from NJU and introduced the educational characteristics of the Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 and its international cooperation strategies. He noted that, as a university specialized in humanities and social sciences, Lyon 3 excels in law, economics, language and cultural studies, and interdisciplinary research. He expressed hope that both universities would seize this opportunity to strengthen dialogue and resource sharing, and to explore innovative approaches to researching socio-humanistic topics and developing talent in a globalized context.

In addition, the two sides also discussed specific areas for cooperation, including visiting scholar programs, student exchange mechanisms, and the sharing of academic resources. This meeting laid a solid foundation for the future cooperation in the humanities and social sciences between the two universities. During his visit, Jobert also held in-depth dialogues with teachers and students from the School of Foreign Studies on topics such as cross-cultural research and innovations in language teaching.
