Aseidu Nketia and delegation of the National Democratic Congress of Ghana visits NJU

On May 15, Johnson Aseidu Nketia, Chairman of the National Democratic Congress of Ghana, led a delegation to Nanjing University. Chen Yunsong, Vice Chair of NJU CPC Council, met with Nketia's delegation on Gulou Campus.

Chen Yunsong extended a warm welcome to Nketia's delegation on behalf of NJU, and provided an overview of the university. He highlighted NJU's profound tradition of student exchanges and its substantial research achievements in African Studies. In terms of future collaboration with Ghana, NJU will promote student exchanges and cultural exchanges drawing on NJU's inclusive atmosphere and academic strengths. Besides, NJU will strengthen joint research on African socio-economic development, particularly in fields like resources and the environment, and establish collaborative research platforms.

Nketia expressed gratitude for NJU's warm reception and praised the longstanding friendship between China and Ghana. He noted that NJU's profound academic heritage in African studies and educational cooperation aligns closely with Ghana's development needs. Taking this visit as an opportunity, he looked forward to promoting substantive collaboration in talent cultivation between universities in Ghana and NJU. The two sides also exchanged ideas on academic exchanges for female scholars and students, water pollution prevention and control, and other issues.
