NJU delegation wins the Grand Prize at 2025 CUPT (East China Division)

On May 25, the 8th China Undergraduate Physics Tournament (East China Division) successfully concluded. Organized by the CUPT (East China Division) Committee, the competition attracted nearly 500 teachers and students from 43 universities across East China. After competing in 4 rounds over two days, NJU team ranked second overall and was awarded the Grand Prize. Since 2022, NJU has consecutively won the Grand Prize for four years.

Center for Experimental Physics Education of NJU conducted member selection and comprehensive preparation for the tournament. The NJU delegation comprised Lin Dukun, Jin Xiaoye, Hao Zhihan, Xie Minhao and Che Junyi from the College of First-Year Students, along with team leaders Kong Shuo and Luo Yang, two sophomores from the School of Physics. Five faculty members Wang Yinlong, You Biao, Wan Jianguo, Zhou Huijun, and Gao Huibin from the Center for Experimental Physics Education served as competition advisors while four teachers Tao Chao, Xu Xiaodong, Hong Xuhao, and Tang Feng from the School of Physics participated as official judges in the competition.

With thorough preparations by the organizers, this year's CUPT East China competition upheld its tradition and significantly enhanced academic exchanges among participating teachers and students. During the competition, NJU team demonstrated sincere collaboration, upholding NJU's tradition of "emphasizing and advancing physics", while engaging in substantive academic exchanges with peers from other institutions.

The NJU contestants gave their full dedication during the competition, showcasing the distinctive academic excellence of NJU physicists with critical thinking, solid knowledge, and exceptional capabilities. The judging faculty from NJU strictly adhered to competition regulations, conducting evaluations with complete objectivity and impartiality. Both NJU team members and judges earned unanimous recognition and respect from all participants throughout the competition.
