NJU and University of Rome Tor Vergata launch joint mathematics teaching program

The collaboration between Nanjing University and the University of Rome, Tor Vergata in the field of mathematics has recently made significant progress. Following high-level mutual visits and the signing of cooperation agreements, the first batch of the joint teaching programs in School of Mathematics, Nanjing University, was launched in 2025, marking a significant step forward in talent cultivation and academic exchange between the two institutions.

In the spring semester of 2025, the inaugural course of the program was launched. Mathematics scholars from University of Rome, Tor Vergata taught on-site courses covering topics such as Hamiltonian systems and symplectic geometry, as well as operator semigroups. In the autumn semester, five students from School of Mathematics will participate in an exchange program at University of Rome, Tor Vergata.

The "NJU International Collaboration Initiative" focuses on major scientific frontiers and national strategic needs. It aims to encourage and strengthen collaborations with world-class scientists and laboratories, support the development of internationally competitive research projects and platforms, and establish high-level international joint research centers, thereby continuously elevating NJU's international influence in scientific cooperation.
